I need a docklet which opens a menu with more icons. Hope you understand what I mean ![]()
Need A "menu" Docklet
depends on what you want in the menu, but Yz already has a built in menu. creae a folder on you HD, put whateva u want in the menu in the folder, then drop the folder on the dock. if u then press the scroll button, or i think "mr. hankey" + left click does it aswell... your will get the folder contense in a menu.
if someone could verify the hot keys, please do so.

I know what you looking 4 man.
that app is KK Menu
a docklet for dock app
functions are when you click on it ,brings you a customizable meunu with a background and all the stuff you need ,right?
let me know if that's what you need!
i will send to ya!
Do we have Kkmenu for yzdock?
i have kk menu when it was still an exe, but i'm not sure if/when the docklet will be ported to y'z dock. it's shareware, though, at least for objectdock.
do you have a link where i can download it?
Kkmenu does work with YZdock just have to config it and place it in the yzdock folder
are you sure the docklet works? is the docklet architecture for objectdock different from that of y'z dock?
i have the exe file, but it's too large to upload here. does someone want to host it?

It's an EXE file, not a docklet, so it should work with any dock - correct?
the old menu was an exe file, and it works with both y'z dock and objectdock. i'm using kkmenu (exe) right now with y'z dock.
then the creator made it into a docklet (i guess this is where the confusion comes from) for objectdock. the docklet structure is probably different, so it wouldn't work with y'z dock.
in any case, i do have the exe file. glenn, i think you sent me a message on icq, but i couldn't reply to it for some reason. if you're online again, i can send it to you, or if someone wants to upload it somewhere, i can do that.
Other than kkMenu, I guess using the default function in Y'z Dock is good as well.
Simply create a folder on the desktop, drop whatever files you want accessed through the menu into that folder, and then just drag the folder onto the dock.
Access the menu by "ctrl+left click", or you can also use a long mouse click (press and hold) to activate the submenu. ![]()
Simpler. :who's your daddy:
Edit: Just re-iterating what theunknown has shared. ![]()
there is also a program called ShortPopUp and it works like the Y'zDock and ObjectDock click+hold and ctrl+click but instead all you need to do is click it. I like it better because I don't like holding the button nor do I like using ctrl.
this is what I did:
put the shortpopup.exe in a folder with all my shortcuts I don't need in the dock.
then I made a shortcut to the .exe and put the shortcut somewhere else, then dragged the shortcut onto the dock.
now, whenever I click the icon for ShortPopUp and menu pops up with the listing of all the shortcuts and works great.
you can even add commandlines to it so you can sort the items however you want. it's all in the readme
AND it works in any dock/taskbar program because it is not a docklet, it is a stand alone program
here's the site and download link:
I used shortpopup all the time before the docks got menu capability - still use it for some things...thanks for the link to it...I hadn't checked in a while and the latest version adds a lot of capability the version I use didn't have.

one correction though.
KkMenu, when it was a docklet, was developed for OD, but since it was an exe it worked on Yz too (know that, i`ve been testing it
) KkMenu ever since version 0.8 (or 2.8 as it was known) turned into full fledged OD docklet.
I think i hv KkMenu.exe somewhere if anyone`s interested but if ur using OD KkMenu docklet is the right way to go! And it`s not that expensive, we need to support Jiri if we want him to finish the KkDock. ![]()
so where's the correction? hehe. you wrote the same thing.
yeah, the exe worked for both y'z and od. i still use kkmenu exe, but it's a little slow. then the docklet kit came out and it became a docklet for od. actually, i think the author is working on porting it to y'z, but i haven't heard much about it recently.
i think the people in this thread want the exe, though, since (i think) they're using y'z dock. what version do you have? i have 270a.
very nice abbazaba
this is enough for yzdock
Why are you all going on about KkMenu when you can just use the menu on Y'z Dock!!
It's sooo much simpler and it matches your current visual style (or WB4 style for you posh people out there). I don't know why you're getting so stressed about something so simple.
There are three ways to open the menu on Y'z Dock:
-Ctrl+Left Click on the icon
-Left Click and Hold until the menu pops up
-Middle Click/Scrollbar Click
you really can be rather foolish sometimes... ![]()
How can it match our Visual Theme if its just a Right Click window ![]()
Kkdock?? lOl i would like to see
I hope kkmenu gets ported to Yzdocklet, can somebody send me the exe??? (Latest version, PM me with link)
infinity, the reasons why i use kkmenu are:
1. it's just simple and intuitive to use a left click that immediately opens a menu
2. the menu is skinnable and there is transparency
3. you can have a menu with anything you want without the need create a separate folder with shortcuts.
my only problem with kkmenu is its speed (or lack thereof).
felix, i have the exe (270a). if you want it, send me a pm. i posted a tutorial here: http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/index.php?showtopic=10951
i think it might be ported to y'z dock, but it's shareware.
How i wish some talented person would make a dock for linux.
sigh
I already PMed ya, didnt you received it??
yeah, i already emailed it to you a while ago.
Thank you
