Removing Address Title

ie.gif

Is there a way to remove the circled red text in IE? (On that shot it is hard to see, but it's the grey Address title before the address bar)

Explain this in more depth, i found the .dll in my System 32 file, but didnt find those lines

Load said file in ResHack

On left had side click "String Table"

Click "807"

On the right hand side find "Address" & "A&ddress"

delete both (I have heard it is better to make them say " " & " " but it worked fine for me to just delete them entirely)

Click "Complie Script"

Save as.. browselc.dll on the desktop

go to %windir%\system32\dllcache and delete browselc.dll

go to %windir%\system32 and remame browselc.dll to browselc.dll.old

copy\move browselc.dll from desktop to %windir%\system32

This should work, I haven't done it in a while so I might have forgotten a step. :)

You should (works in xp pro sp1 at least) be able to rename the file in %windir%\system32 without exiting ie or explorer
