Hi Chris!

I don't know which liquid screensaver from Mac are you referring to, but I can direct you to a site with some really beautiful screensavers.

I thought quartz was just the mac equivalent to directx in windows? and why would you wanna replace directx?! But im probably wrong because i know very little about the workings of an apple computer.

I guess its more powerful than directx in windows since you can do more with it in the basic UI of mac os than you can with windows UI. Im guessing the only upside to it is it increases performance more with 2d effects like window shadowing and transparency as opposed to XP which mostly relies on the CPU to do that stuff? Please correct me if im wrong. But it probably isnt worth porting since quartz is probably too integrated into the OS itself and it will likely be extremely difficult to get the same effects or performance in windows. Im just guessing on all this stuff though.

BTW, on your site i read that you were asking for donations for a pc that runs OS X? Uhm, im pretty sure that doesnt work... The two dont mix and probably wont for awhile still. Intel talked to apple briefly about the possibility, but apple turned them down i think. Good luck with that though.

I'm just wondering when Chris will understand that running Mac OS X on a x86 isn't possible. Unless Apple decides to release a x86 version.

#95657

I guess he doesnt want to spend the money for an apple in order to run OS but still wants the usability of a PC (x86). I wonder what type of crashing that would bring to the windows world if it ever did happen?

Chris-

I just merged 3 of your threads because they all had the same subject matter. Please think before clicking the 'New Topic' button.

Also, I've noticed that you seem to be intigued with the concept of running OS X on x86. Although it is already well known that doing so is impossible, you are welcome to discuss it here.

Please- if it is at all possible, do not clutter the forums with several threads about the same thing.

Maybe I should change my title to read "Don't mess with the Purple Prince, or his minions."

Alright, lets try to calm down now. If you want to argue, I'm sure the mods/admins won't mind if you take it to therealduckie.net.
