All my fellows,i know that Smurize is a neat app,you can use as many scripts as you wanna.it make me confused ,i wanna know if the CPU will get high when i use more scripts or no matter how many scripts you use ,the CPU will never change!!!
Is Samuize A Cpu-eating App?
Well, it depends on what scripts are you running, asically because each script has its way of handling the information between the system and the GUI.
From my experience, Samurize version of what i was using b4 trough rainlendar and rainmeter was a lot better on cpu usage and resources.
I have experience with Pe7ers G5 Script , Nates date and disk monitors (Y).
All 3 running at the same time at starup and it was fine, they would yield maybe 2 or 3 % of cpu usage in peaks (not continously)
Hope this helps mate.

most scripts have never worked for me (DesktopWeatherXML: "N/A",
Pe7er's G5: cpu usage: 0%, ...)
, those problems are easily solved.
the n/a means 1. you need to reconfigure your script and 2. you need to delete the temp xml files then reload the config.
also, you need to re-link the cpu to the cpu meter for it to work.
i find my config takes up 2% at most.
It's rather light. Even biggest configs, like complex weather widgets (Judge's or mine) don't eat too much. G5 is ultra-light despite it uses large png for the background. The only HEAVY config I know is ImageMagick (by Judge), but it communicates with an external application that converts and resizes images and hence the big cpu usage.
It's light and nice, even if you use many configs at a time. Cpu usage depends mostly on number and size of images displayed. All meters are super ultra light.
G5 :naughty:
It uses a TON if you have your desk full of configs that are all over the screen (labels and then desktopweather XML on the opposite of the screen uses ALOT of CPU)
