Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 And Panther

Hello Boardies, how are you today?

As you prolly know ve just switched to mac (for good), now one problem has poped up, my old usb quickcam pro 4000 wont work (not necessarily in ichat, i have the haxie for that) but i cant get a damned image to show, even when the camera seems to actually be recognized by Video Viewer.

Any help?

Cheers

I was reading the Forums over a Logitech and found this post on the same subject:

The download on the Logitech Website is driver only, so if you installed something off the CD-ROM it potentially was just for MacOS 9 or lower, I also noticed that there is no MacOS X application software on the website at the moment so you must have the OS 9 version.

If you got the driver itself installed OK then your probably better off just downloading BTV from http://www.bensoftware.com for the purpose of capturing videos and taking stills etc. Yahoo and ivisit (http://www.ivisit.com) should cover most everything else.

Well, for some reason my QuickCam 3000 Pro light stays on after I reboot from WinXP Hibernation (if it's any help to you.)

huh?

well its normal cause when the system comes back from hibernation the usb ports are chec ked for connetion status.

now what does that have to do with my 4000 pro not working on my MAC

Do I have to link everything for everyone!?!

QuickCam 3000 Pro = QuickCam 4000 Pro

Proof:

15 letter and/or numbers = 15 letter and/or numbers

Therefore:

QuickCam 3000 Pro == QuickCam 4000 Pro

WinXP Hibernation = MAC OS X

Proof:

W upside down in M

Distribute the Hibernation out.

Hibernation(MinXP) = MAC OS X

num(O) + num(S) - num(X)

15 + 19 - 24 = 10

1 + 0 = 1

asc(1) = A

Substitute "i: with A

Hibernation(MAnXP) = MAC OS X

Distribute XP. The distribution of "XP" automatically changes to OS X

Hibernation (MAn) OS X = MAC OS X

Hibernation can be simplified to "C" when it is multipiled with "n"

Therefore:

MAC OS X == MAC OS X

Jesh, stupid people :P

Calm down. Although there wasn't much help (don't take any offense from that comment, I am trying to think as fast as I can and can't think of anything nicer), next time you will think of something that noone has thought of and help someone. It is a hit or miss situation. Except it was a miss. And I pour the salt to make it hurt more, but I don't mean to offend you.

I think it is official that Logitech has no support for their QuickCams and OSX. Sorry bud. I even searched more, and that is all I found.

Get iSight :unsure:
