I'm moving to a new computer, yet I would like to keep all of my iTunes playlists and music, and I was wondering if I can simply copy the folder that iTunes created in "My Music" from my old computer to the "My Music" folder in my new one, and have access to my old library, complete with the original song playcounts, ratings, etc.? Does anyone know if this would work?

yes i'm pretty sure thats the thing to do. After installing iTunes on your new computer, replace the 'itunes4 music library' database file in your new computer with the one from your old computer. You can copy the file on like a floppy or email it to yourself. However you also have to have the same Music files in the My Music folder in your new computer(if you didn't already know of that). That should do it. Hope i've been of some help.
Thanks, yeah I'm copying the WHOLE iTunes folder (with all my ripped AACs and such) from my old comp onto my iPod, yhen onto my new comp, so the songs will all be in the same place on the computers, as I don't store any outside of that folder.

Ive moved my iTunes music a few times if all the music is in the iTunes music folder then there definatley wont be a problem. You may need to tel it to update the music positions.
When moving though it only moves your playlists and music locations etc. Your window position and your options will reset to the default.
