Why does the fast reply button only appear on some forums? For example, it's not here, or in the PC section, but it is in General Discussion...
Reply
good question! i have wondered that for a while....mebbe its just in the most heavily used forums?
Its not turned on in every forum.
i think all forums should hv fast reply enabled (no matter if the poster enabled them or not)
it`s just faster (especially for us on modem
) and i don`t know what harm would it be if fast reply was enabled all the time.

I agree ![]()
administrators are the ones who have authority to change forum settings, why dont you just pm tim and ask him, not much we can do..
The actual reply button is much better becuase people will actually write long ang meaningful responses on the reply page. The fast reply button would cause people to write irrelevant things, or whatever comes to their head at that given moment. ![]()
NOTE**: this forum does not have the fast reply button enabled. ![]()
i strongly disagree with that. i believe a fast reply button will still allow people to say what they want, but would reduce spam smileys. there are way too many smileys in posts these days although it has been getting better with recent crackdowns on spamming.
I do think "regular reply" gets higher quality posts than "fast reply". People have time to reflect and think about what they are posting.
I'll tell something Goku once said to me: "Before you post, stop and think about whether your post makes you out to be a complete ass".
And don't PM Tim. He's in a bad mood.

Maybe neither of us two should ever post again, then? ![]()
Its turned off on forums that should be taken more seriously.
like this forum doesnt have it on because we want no bullshizzle posts. like
"lol"
"
"
" :timmie: "
Yeah, Tim is right. New rule:
No one word posts or Only-Emoticon posts. They add nothing to the conversation."lol" does not help anything.
Follow or entail wrath. :goku's job:
