When I insert and execute the AOL installer, I always get an error message preventing me from installing. I am on my moms computer trying to get a hold of the situation.
All of my other CDs and Linux CDs work perectly in the effected computer.
PLEASE HELP!
Wow, you get an error message. My guess is that there is a problem.
Want to tell us the error message?
SETUP caused a General Protection Fault inModual SETUP.EXE at 0002:29C2.
Choose close. SETUP will close.
delete your temp files, you have an old setup.exe in there.

Have you tried to uninstall AOL only to have it screw up your Windows networking settings? 
I've said that and much worse the first and last time I installed the damn thing like 5 years ago

Best Home Internet I've ever encountered is optonline, its cable internet and you can get speeds of like 1 GB per second, only 50 $ per month. Lot for me, but for the speed its worth it. No stupid ads, or spyware.

Except AOL and msoft have nothing to do with eachother and have gone through a couple of lawsuits with one another. Thats why bill has MSN!
Just dont use aol, its not fun. Some other cheaper service in your area if youre looking for dialup or broadband will have equal or better service than aol.

he said something about his mom's computer...i dont have AOL installed on my comp, but i had to install it for them. in fact, i actually have to reinstall windows before i go back to school.....*shudder*
i know, they should get a mac like me...
AOL is good for one thing, and one thing only, which happens to be a topic that I don't think can be discussed on the boards.
What is a "female dog" is when your AOL and AIM name are the same, and you get all those spam IMs even when you are not signed onto AOL.

Especially since a 100mbps cant even get that fast and cable is limited to around 512kbit upload
