Graphics Help

I have some graphics in tiff format that AndreasV is hoping to use in the making of a new docklet. (Which is why I'm posting this here, as I couldn't see which forum it really belonged in :blink: )

Andreas needs them in Png format. When i try to convert them in PSP8 the transparent surroundings of the image turn black. I get a message which says that due to the limitations of the file format alpha layers will not be saved. i imagine this is the problem.

Can anyone tell me how to save these Tiffs as Pngs without this happening? I know next to nothing about graphics (as you've probably guessed :D ) and have no access to anything more sophisticated than PSP.

Nevermind people :) I wrote a little application that seems to convert tiff images to png images using windows GDI+. I attached it to this post for those who are interested.

BTW, still, how do you convert TIFF to PNG in PSP?

Not everyone uses PSP.. -_- Plus Fireworks is much better anyway.

fireworks is not the same kind of app..

Toshop and PSP are made more for photo manipulation, while for example painter is made for drawing, fireworks in my opinion is more for graphic design and vertorial stuff... :)

i tried fireworks but i didn't felt in love :P and i don't have it at home so...
