Docksounder 1.6

Hiya,

DockSounder 1.6 for Object Dock adds sounds to your dock.

You can specify per label settings for events like onmouse over (icon), onmouse click (icon), onenter (dock), onleave (dock). Also the icon's label can be read out to you on mouseover/mouseclick, so you can now just hoover over your clock Docklet and hear the current time.

Download: DockSounder 1.6 downloadlink (server is case-sensitive)

New in this release is the ability to read out the label of the icon on mouseover/click using Microsoft's TTS. If you don't have TTS installed, you can get it here: MS TTS

Search for a file of approx. 4 megs big called "Mike and Mary redist" or something like that.

Enjoy.

It is possible to have it in French, as long as you have a French TTS voice installed. Just search the Microsoft site or other sites for it :)

Gosh, your invention is impressive. Eye(ear)candy of eye(ear)candies! Great idea, I want to see more. Possible ideas:

-killer docklet: configure names of your family members and when you click one of them, desired person dies. Right-click: goes to hospital with several serious injuries. Supports animated pngs.

-plantation docklet: plant your favourite plants. Click them with the watering pot to make them grow and sprout newest applications and aqua mods. Doesn't support synthetic fertilizer.

in fact its only a package for Chinese and Jap language, unforunately there is no french or german recognation download, as far as i know.

i guess a compatible with MSS (microsoft speech server) recognation system would exist but i didn't find it on microsoft's website maybe somewhere else i havent search yet.

The pack i downloed is on the page you give in your post, you got the speech SDK, and language pack SDK (thank you microfsoft for telling us that this pack is only jap or chinese... i wouldn't have download 80 meg for nothing)

Darn microsoft  They make great API's (TTS-API was really easy), but then they provide only Japanese language packs without telling that it is japanese

But, I heard from someone that Lernau & Hauspie had a lot of language packs. Just need to find some :)

Huh? Japanese language packs? I'm up for any clean way to get Japanese working on English XP.

This is why I miss Linux...;_;

kikuchiyo

-> download the api sdk (60meg) and the language pack (80meg) and then in your config pannel of windows in speech you can choose the right language recognation

i hope to find french and ither!!!

[edit]Is it possible to remove the configuration of TTS in the docklet and use the default configuration in SPEECH?? because even if we got a french or german pack for MSS, it'll not be used by the docklet i guess... in Speech you chose your default voice recognition language and the voice so maybe you can use it in the docklet without havint to configure it[/edit]

The application should choose your default selected language and voice at first start up.
