More Mail News integrated with Jib's address book

Hey guys,

Ive spent another few hours today working hard to give mail some more features. With the help of a tester I've managed to highlight and fix a few bugs and I'm working to make it compatible with all your address books :).

Little teaser image...

Some new features include:

  • Near perfect mail reading
  • Beta version of sending emails
  • Simple attachments engine working
  • New Settings dialog to edit user info
  • Improved stabability
  • Simple junk mail engine
  • Working on integration with Jib's address book

I'll be releasing an alpha demo to testers soon. If I receive any PM's, emails or anything with anyone whining to be a tester you can just forget it. Testers will be picked by me, I'll get in contact with a few people I know and trust.

But your comments at this stage would be appreciated :)

Looks awesome alilm! Keep up the good work!

Also, I like the idea of integration with Jib's address book.

#91296

We can always expect only top releases from you. Thanks you for doing this application. The features sound great, especially the Address book integration. Keep up the good work.

#91297

Nice to see that you're working on it (Y) Even nicer to see that we'll have your mail app integrated with Address Book.

How about Linux version? ;)

#91300

Is the top menu-bar just your personal skin, or is it integrated with the app? As much as I like the old Mac icons for close, enlarge, etc., I'd love if you used the Aqua traffic icons instead (not to sound picky).

Other than that - this looks top-edge. Could there BE a better feature than integration with Jib's address book?!!!? Can't wait for this!

#91347

As this will prob be a VB(Micro$hit) application, a linux version won't be forth coming in the next 10 years. heh.

Yeah!!! (Y) :woot: :rule: The best news today! Any details on this?

#91553

No details, we just tried it really, its running under a windows emulator so no biggie. I dont really plan ever to port this to linux natively.

#91564

WINE Is Note an Emulator ;)

Yeah, it's just me being too lazy to reboot into windows.

But he's trying to keep it running on Windows98, so it should be able to run in WINE w/ some tweaking. I'll be sure to keep an eye on it. :P

#91579

Just make it run on Windows, I don't mind :) (cause I'm using XP anyway heh heh)

Any possible beta testing before the release?

Btw, will there be support for POP3 as well?
