yz dock moves so much faster with this combo
if you have a radeon based ATI card, download directx 9 and the new directx 9 beta drivers for your card...you'll definitely see an improvement. i'm running an 850mhz with a 64mb ddr radeon, and it runs so smoothly now...even with the priority below normal. very impressive. i was skeptical when i read that it would make an improvement, but believe me you, it does.

Timmyeatworld, you are right, its increadible how nice it is with the dx9 drivers. It is almost if not as good as an Macintosh running OSX!

Well, latest 40s and latest stable 40s seem to be working fine with it, but...
But 3Dmark won't start (screams for directx 8.1) and dock's even slower!!!
On the other hand, windowblinds with hyperpaint enabled seem to work faster than before...
an interesting sideeffect is that moving a window with hyperpaint and yz dock loaded is ABNORMALLY SLOOOOOOOOW.... even if you never touch the dock itself!

I didnt see any performance increase when i installed dx9 + the new ati dx9 drivers, probably because my video card is an older radeon model.. After installing dx 9 everything worked fine, no increase/decrease.. then installed the dx9 radeon drivers and games were very very slow.. like 11 fps in mohaa, when i usually get 40-90 fps.. so uninstalled the beta drivers and im still with dx9 but using the old dx8 drivers.. time to switch to nvidia, ati needs to get their act together when it comes to drivers

to bsiple: sorry to hear that it slowed stuff down. i wouldn't switch to nvidia just yet...ati is the first company to release proper directx 9 drivers...with these new catalyst driver suites they've really become quite good. what radeon do you have? i'm running the 64mb ddr VIVO, and it worked well for me. i haven't played any games with it though, maybe i'll try some. i read that ATI said on the newest cards, performance on games is increased by ~15-20%.

man i just bought a readean 9600 XT card, installed the latest catalyst drivers for it and my y'z dock is as slow as if it were running on a x286 =(

i810 flowing through my 9200 = cant even move Windows on desktop
yes... i have both direct X 9 and my motherboard does not have onboard video card so nothing to disable there 
however my yz dockkkkkk is retardedly slow...
