Missing Hard Drive Icons!

Ok, no idea why this is happening, but it is driving me crazy. I've tried rebuilding the icon cache, changing the icon with a program then restoring the defualt icon, and restarted multiple times hoping some magic would happen, but I'm having no luck.

My C drive and R drive (another hard drive/partition) do not have icons any more, just a generic file icon, and it's driving me crazy.

Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

i`m having the same prob. it`s a broken icon cashe but i can`t find a solution for it. I`ve tried TweakUI`s, IconWorkshop`s, Microangelo`s an IconPackager`s rebuild icon cashe option but no luck, my jpeg and zip icon`s look like crap

I had this problem to once, back in the days when i still used win2k :rolleyes:

I did not find any other way than formating, actually.

:: sigh :: That dreaded word - format.

When I open My Computer, the icons show up as the normal hard drive icon, then it goes tot he icon that is in the screenshot above.

I'm at a loss.
