It's been a long time. I've been busy this christmas and I didn't use my 200MHZ computer. And we bought a new computer. Here are the specs.

Intel Pentium 4 1.7Ghz

nVIDIA Inno3d GeForce2 64MB videocard

Sony 48x12x48 CD WRITER

Windows XP Home OEM Licensed

and more.

Im so sad I didn't have the professional.

Anyway, I can't download Y'z Shadow. 404 Error and also please give me some links to spice up my fresh Windows XP.

Hiya...Yamaguchi hasn't updated his links yet on our host. We have all his apps up for download again and you can grab them at DT² under the DT² News and Downloads link

*The files are hotlink protected so if you are running Norton firewall either disable it so you can download them or add a rule for DT². Norton firewall doesn't play nice with hot link protection

I don't no why all the whining about the diference between XP Home Edition and Pro. The really big diference is that Pro can use multiple processors were Home can't. If your computer doesn't have a socket for another P4 what are you complaining about. You have the same OS for about $100 less. And even you ugraded and bought a multi-processor system you couldn't use that copy of XP Home Edition on it anyway. Check the ULA (user licences agreement). You want a new computer and you want ot run XP on it thats fine you have to go buy a new copy.

P.S.

Your new system is nice but far from cutting edge. I have a lowly Celeron 3 processor or (Tualitin aka P3 in Celeron cloths) and I run it at 1.5GHz and it can eat P4's up 1.8GHZ and Athlon XPs up to +1800. Just cause you got a P4 don't mean it the greatest thing out there. And not to totaly piss on your parade that video card is FAR from cutting edge. Maybe 3 years ago it was the cats meow but now its just a card that is used in the lowend cookie cutter world of prebuilt systems from the big three computer companies.

I know the flames and slams are comming but this is the real world and we must give a thought of what he really got as a computer. A 2 year old middle of the line model that probably cost his parents to much money in the first place.

Want to impress me? Tell me your parents bought a new P4 3GHz machine with hyperthreading, an NVidia GeForce4 Ti 4600 or an ATI Radeon 9700, 1gig of DRR RAM, and Windows XP Pro.

Now you would be talking and impressing everyboby here.

About P50,000.00 but if you convert it to dollars, ummm. it is so cheap!

But Im happy now, at least I already touched an XP! B'coz my other classmates still stick on the Windows 98 and ME!

Thanks for the info. Windows XP Pro is not available at Bicol. Manila, Philippines specifically Makati has full retail version of Windows XP Pro. Also has a PowerMac center in SM.

You need to show some concern dude....Not everyone's as rich as you (supposedly) are...Just coz you think you have the cash to blow on a top-of-the-line system doesn't mean everyone does....if you really are that rich then why don't you buy him that system instead of being such an asshole about it

People don't buy computers just to show off that those systems are top of the line. Some people do buy PC's for work (like me). Even though I can afford the system you mentioned, I use a Pentium III 600....why??? because I don't need that and jed717ph probably doesn't either. So just cut him so slack...

Excuse ME!

Did I say I have I top of the line system, Ah NO! I said I had a lowly Celeron 3 but that it was clocked high enough to give his p4 a run for his money. I said I would like to have a top of the line system. My system is already 2 generations behind. You guys simply need to read better or something.

As for having money to burn I don't. I weigh every purchase as a much as anyone else does. I simply keep my eyes open for great deals when they come along. Also that I work part time at a local computer shop afords me the opportunity to buy up the parts that everyone else is exchanging for the newer equipment. Thats how I got my celeron and how I got my video card. The point I realy trying to make was that he didn't need to buy that P4 for performance but he could have did a lttle reshearch and found that a system with and athlon or even a P3 could have saved him alot of money over that P4. I feel he got ripped. I don't know what he or his parents paid for this machine but I am sure that wherever they live they could have spent there money better. Hey at least I didn't say he should have bought a Mac instead.
