Usb Christmas Lights?

Ok guys. I'm sure I saw this somewhere before, I KNOW I saw it on The Screensavers a year or 2 ago but I can't find it anywhere now. Anyways, there was an episode where they took a string of Christmas lights, took the normal plug off and replaced it with a USB connector. Then there was a plug-in for Winamp that made them flash to the beat of the bass. It was really sweet and I was thinking now that I have more than 2 USB ports I'd like to try it. Does anyone know how to do this or know of a website with a guide? I'm positive Yoshi did it before and I thought it'd be sweet to try out.

I was also wondering, if someone has seen this and knows where I can get the Winamp plugin too, can this be done with a string of those tube-lights? Is there also a way to make it start at one end of the string (Whether it be tube lights or normal christmas lights) and make it look like the light "zooms" from one end to the other?

I found this that tells you how to make usb lights, but it doesn't tell you if you could do the winamp thing.
