Baseball

I'm a diehard Angels fan, and have been since birth. I'm very excited about this offseason, as we've picked up Kelvim Escobar and Bartolo Colon. There's a good chance that we will sign Jose Guillen today or tomorrow, and there's a good chance we'll sign Rafael Palmerio soon too. Add the possibility of Nomar Garciaparra coming as part of that rumored Boston/Texas trade with A-Rod and Manny Rameriez, and we are sitting pretty. If there are any Seattle, Oakland, or Texas fans out there, you might as well just hand us the AL West Championship now.

What's your team, and how are they doing this offseason?

Atlanta Braves!!!

OK... so maybe we lost sheffield, lopez, and maddux to name a few, but hey everyone always says our reign has come to an end and we triumph. Maybe not in the form of a World Series, but nobody can beat 12 straight div titles.

On a side note... what do you think about:

1. Rodrigues for Ramirez

2. Where Pudge is going

3. Where Vlad is going

4. If the Yankees will top 200 mil in salary

5. And if we are lucky that Clemens rumored return (to his hometown Astros) will happen

2. Pudge is going to Baltimore.

3. I also think Vlad is going to the Baltimore.

4. Yankees suck!

5. Clemenos shouldn't come out of retirement to pitch in the NL. I don't see it happening even if they give him 1,600 hummers. <-- Wow, did that sound dirty.

I think it's time for players to stick with one team for atleast 3 years... Reggie Sanders has been on 7 teams the past 7 years. I know Baseball, like any sport, is more of a buisness than a passion but it's getting ridiculous with Kevein Brown signing over a 100 million dollar contract and now-a-days it's even worst.

You baseball fans amaze me. It's the most boring damn game in the world to watch.

Strike.... Strike.... foul... ball.... strike.. WOW the action! And the occasional hit, which lasts a good 3 seconds.

Now football. that's where it's at.

4. Not likely, since many of the free agents have already been snatched up. Even if they did, they will not go far in the postseason, if at all- the Yanks are a shambles. I'd say watch for an Anaheim/Boston ALCS.

5. Clemens should stay in retirement. We don't need him to be the Jordan of baseball.

And guys- don't start the flaming. If you don't like baseball, don't comment. Easy, huh?

Chicago Cubs.

I was born and raised in Northern Illinois, I bleed Cubbie blue, and always have.

Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment (I'm also a big fan of the Bears).

I stick by my teams even when they suck (which unfortunately is most of the time).

I live in Georgia now, and I was SO happy that we knocked off the Braves.

I really don't like the Braves, so it was great to see them lose the division series in Atlanta.

Plus I actually got to watch the games. Being here makes it difficult to see the games on TV that I WANT to watch.

They need to put all the Cubs games back on WGN.

The best place in the world to see a baseball game is at Wrigley.

Try and find another stadium that comes close.

Boston is a close second, but I don't acknowledge the AL, and I won't until they get rid of the DH rule.

But, offseason trades have decimated the squad from last season

a. Miggy gone (Baltimore)

b. Foulke gone (Bo Sox)

c. Long, gone (long gone hahahaha)

d. Hernandez gone.

If my team doesn't make it, then i root for the men in pinstripes, Yankees!!!!.

A's are still the team to beat, sorry Bo Sox fans.

Well, you just lost another one off your team, royalpain. As I expected, my Angels signed Jose Guillen tonight.

And the A's are the team to beat? Sorry bud, but your team's decimated! Losing Miggy and Foulke were your death blows...sorry, but the Angels will be the team to beat in 2004. But don't worry- the A's are still waaaay better than the Mariners ever will be!

And yes, I am from south Florida, attended more than 10 games this summer (between college and summer abroad in Costa Rica I wasn't home much), and have suppored the team from day one. Even through the sell-out of 1998, and what looks to be the sell-out of 2004. Bye bye Pudge. Bye Bye D-Lee.
