I went to add a new contact to MSN Messnger today and I found that the limit is 150. So I added it to Trillian instead, however because it is less resource hogging I use MSN Messenger.
But my question to you kind people is:
Is there a way to mess around with this program so that I can have more than 150 contacts or should I just delete the people who never come online.
I would prefer the foremost option but if there is no way, there is no way.

Be warned if you delete people off ur contact list your gonna forget who they are, I dont know half the people anymore that message me, its scarey lol.

Perhaps add the people who never come online to your address book with notes (ie; where you met them etc) and then delete them off your list. That way if they message you again you can look them up.

Well I'll nave have this problem I have like 5 contacts...
I like to delete the contacts that I havent talked to in a long time. They can still talk to you just fine. The idea is... if you dont talk to a person all the time then you shouldnt need to always see if there online or offline. 150 I think is reasonable, cause I know I sure dont speak to 150 people a day. even though I have like 130 on my list, I talk to about 5-6 people a day. A lot of times I talk to a person for a while, and then theres no need to keep talking to them, cause we discussed what needed to be discussed ya know. So I delete the contact. I do think that your right about the limit though. I dont think there should be a limit on how many friends you can have

This might not help much, but yes there is a way theres a program that makes another contact list that opens up with msn.. problem is i forget its name, try google.
Your cobntacts list is stored remotely. Not on your pc. Maybe ms limit it for conserving disk space?
That my friends is why GAIM rocks.You can have 150 per list, and I have about 4 lists.

although right now Gaim crashes when I put my mouse over a link... but that's not for this thread.
