Using Ie As A Finder App

I've been using IE as a host for my desktop and it works very well! I know it doesn't look like selppa's but it's very functional and works...Yztoolbar makes all the difference.

It needs a lot more hacking...I wonder if this approach is feasable?

I don't get it

Yes...I just wanted to clear my desktop of icons and view them in a window instead...I don't get it either really...it's just another task launcher I suppose. Isn't that what the 'Finder' does? It's fully flexible and the address bar works.

Address bar works in windows explorer too.

Finder is a filemanager. Very sexy, flexible and powerful, yet only a filemanager, not Godzilla

Just thinking aloud...oh well.

 Oh God, it's certainly a great example characterising virtual community as a specific being without any corelations to 'real' communities.

Just to let you know... the second you no longer view internet files in Internet Explorer it is the same thing as Explorer. Take a look at Tools for example. It no longer says "Internet Options"... it now says "Folder Options"

Here's a screenshot of IE side by side with Explorer. Both with the Desktop showing:
