ok do the following

open my computer

goto ur drive where windows is installed (defualt c:)

then goto ur windows folder

then system32 folder (c:\windows\system32\)

they look for the aquacontrols.ocx and aquacontrols.oca delete those, then find iappcontrols.ocx and delete those, then reinstall teh aqua controls and it should work, also to be safe search for aquacontrols.ocx and .oca and delete em. should work then if it doesnt let me know!

Thank Timan!! :D All work...

I did everything you said to, Timan! But it still won't work! I updated AquaControls, I deleted the old Aquacontrols stuff, and reinstalled, and I moved my aquatunes from the desktop to the programfiles folder and back!!! AAARRGGH!!!! I want aquatunes!.... or at least a viable replacement!

ok do this ONLY! if u know what you are doing, open up regedit and use the SEARCH feature and search for aqua controls or something, and dlete those entries then reinstall the controls and they should *better;)* work :)

I can't get the new iTalk to work either... keep getting this VBError. i've reinstalled the aquacontrols about a million times now... even using add/remove programs to remove them. i've reinstalled iTalk as well.

any more suggestions?

#1302

OK, i've done all what you say : uninstall and delete the sys32 files, clean the registry base and ask for god...

So after reinstalling tha aqua apps, i've always the same problems.

Here is the message when opening aqua browser and clic on the path button :

"error in getvers

13

Type incompatible

aquacontrols"

(I've got Win XP Home SP1)

 <_<

Well... i'm waiting for God answer now and i'll see!

Are you running a non-English language version of Windows?

#1580

I've gotten past the problems with vb error (which I was getting before) but now I try to play a song and it exits unexpectadly on me...wierd

#2102

finally got past the VB.UserControl error but the program is way buggy on my computer. every time i try to use the menus at the top i get Array OutOfBounds errors... whenever I move the mouse over them. it's pretty crazy.

but i guess you'll be busy with the dock for now :)

Hello, thanks for your help.

About the english version of win xp home : i've got a frenchie version with iceman sys files (in english)! so an european version of windoze!

I've think about this problem because some of the errors messages is "error in getvers" and "path directory"...

Well any idea about the solution ?

valéry :(

Hey, in the world there is two category of persons, the non-english users and the english users of windoze...!

Ah, human nature..!

have e naïsse day, pipoole of ze emulation world!

The reason I asked about the non-English version is that I make an API call to windows to determine what version you are running because there are certain API's (dealing with alpha blending) that only work on Win2K/XP. I'm wondering if for some reason, the API behaves differently in non-English versions of the OS.
