Listen... Have just started work on a skin for WB... called x5. Its based around the G5 hardware... but I have a reservation, and am unsure if the top bar style I had in mind would look ok or not with title text on it. I'll post the title bar pic i intend to use here fo you can see what I mean...
Take a look. I'm not sure if i can put title text over that... need a way of making it look reasonable...

I believe that with a dark under-layer, and white text (with a bit of alpha-blending), it should look rather neat. 
Give it a try...
BTW, your theme looks beautiful. Would love to see how it turns out.

SOrry for this probably rather obvious question, but i'm not entirely sure i know what you mean by "dark ender layer"... Do you mean a darker layer of text under the white, or make the background darker or what? Sorry in these matters I'm pretty new... Just started to play with this to see if i could do it really, and decided that i liked the look of what i started to come up with...

Anyway, you're right. I'm referring to a darker background, with some rounded edges. I believe black would be good, with some degree of alpha blending. Then white text. That should do just fine.

In my opinion the text on a such background won't look good. This 'cheese grate' consists of dark and light places, it raises overall contrast and makes background go in front of the text. Optically. It will tire the eyes.
I think you should do the opposite. Now it's gray-cheese-gray. Make it cheese-gray-cheese. Cheese grate on the left and right and something calm and grey in the middle, for the title. You could also add something grey behind the buttons.

had another idea... although i dont know if i can actually achieve the effect I want in skinstudio or not...
I had the idea to not have the window name text in the centre like normal mac themes... but on the right hand side, as in the little pic below. However, for this to look good, I would need to have WB tile 2 sections of the image... it would need to tile the section on the right enough so that the text would be contained in it, and then tile the "chicken wire" section to fill up the rest of the space. I dont know if i can do that >.

Perhaps it's a good direction to explore, and it would definitely make your theme unique by having the titlebar displaced to the right.

If you find out how to do it, do it. You have my 100000000% support. One thing: cheese grate could be smaller, with smaller holes. And buttons could be lighter and more '3d' - just like in TDK, when window is inactive.

Just to add on to what Pe7er has said... perhaps you might want to leave a variation with the bigger-spacing cheese grater design... for people who prefers that. But smaller spacings definitely looks good. I'd prefer the latter.
After doing a search on both Aqua-Soft and WinCustomize, I havent found anything for "TDK"... Pe7er if you could post up a link then I'll take a look at the buttons you mean and see what i can do

Here's another version I think you might like. The buttons aren't like TDK.. because I dont think shiny buttons would look right on this theme... but they are more 3D... and I altered the grid as well... so yes, this would be a multi-styled theme, I would leave the other, larger grid in there as well for those who prefer it

Sorry guys and gals.. have been out of action for a few days due to a knackered keyboard. Anyway... I fixed that now so I'm back in business. I'll get back to work soon onthe theme... University term finishes tomorrow for me so I will have a little free time (in between the essays and stuff... you know how it is!)
I'll give you an update when i have something significant to show off. Ironing out a few problems with one or two things at the moment.
