Changing Titlebar Icon Positions

this is probably a **** question, but i have been searching the net for over 2 days now and i cannot find anything related on these boards either.

basicly what i am trying to find is a way on how to switch the min/max/etc. buttons from the right side of the titlebar to left (mac-style) with a freeware program (or at least a howto guide on how to approach this mod).

actually i want three things: :D:D:D

1. switch buttons from right to left-side of titlebar

2. remove ALL app-icons in the executed program (no icon in titlebar)

3. center the titlebar-text on the titlebar

any help on these things would be greatly appreaciated. maybe i'll even program a tool to do this automatically when i know how it is done. :naughty:

thanks

Currently, the only way to switch the location of min/max/close is with Windowblinds.

Or you could you a shell replacement program like LiteStep.

Uh I can only help with #1; That requies WB4 or a similar application, VSs are limited to right-sided widgets. >.

I thought there was a program called "ShellWM" that would let you change the widgets to the left side.

Your right man, ShellWM will help you on that first problem you got but those other two are more shell hacking related (I guess), so Id go to WinTs' mod site and make a mod request coz he does reply to them very often, almost daily and delivers. Laterz.

normal visual styless (.msstyles) can centre the titlebar text.

does anyone know of any way using msstyles to center the program icon in the titlebar?

just tried sheWM, and it also gets rid of the program icon (with the right theme).

smericson - only stardock can do this (windowsblinds)

personaly i live with visual styles because they hav no bugs and there are better themes available (iBar v3 rocks :rule:)

WindowBlinds can do all of this and so much more. As for the "bugs," don't trust what other people say only because not everyone has the same experiences. For Me, Windowblinds works much better than MSStyles and faster as well. People talk about a zero footprint with MSStyles, which simply isn't true. The Themes service is just "hidden" within the Service host. If it really was the same, classic wouldn't be faster than MSStyles (but it is, especially with the Themes service turned off). I am not trying to start another flame war here, but I am just offering a solution for what you want and saying that WB4 doesn't display "bugs" on everyone's machine. Many people that say so haven't even used the most recent version of WB.
