[help]moving This Dock

hi everybody !

i ask this for a friend, who wants to attach his dock anywhere in the desktop, not anly at botton, top, right, or left ...

is it possible with OD ?

You want to put a dock, like, for example, in the middle of your desktop?

You should check out orbit. Search the forums for Orbit.

it will be extremely ugly if you put it in the middle of the screen...

it actually looks pretty good if your just using tasks and have full transparency on the background(i'm talking about mobydock). i tried it vertically and in the middle of the right half of my screen, looked fine, kindof like a dock version of taskpicture.

unfortunately it may not be practical as you can't make it 'pop up' (autofocus)over windows by hovering over it, but if your friend is really determined they could probably link that function to a hotkey, or even link that hotkey to strokeit, so that a mouse gesture would bring up the dock.
