Windows Xp- Geforce 4 Ti4400

My friend has a GeForce 4 Ti4400 by Chaintech. He used to run Win 2K and it worked fine with the OS. A while (year) he switched to Windows XP Pro and this graphics card wouldn't get past the Win XP boot screen. It would begin to show the boot screen and then stop showing anything else. The card is now running in his sister's old 2K computer (Pentium 3 533mhz, 256 mb ram) and he's using his sister's old voodoo 3000 (16 mb).

His specs:

P4 2.0C

Soyo P4S Dragon Ultra

512 Mb PC 2100 DDR ram

(2) 80 Gb 7200 RPM IBM Deskstar drives

Samsung SyncMaster 171S monitor (17' LCD) also tried on his older 17' CRT monitor

He hasn't played many games because of this, and he doesn't mind staying with the Voodoo, just if there was any way of getting around this it would be beneficial. Chaintech's website says the card is compatible with XP and he tried Tech Support but they don't speak english!

Hmm, first problem is he's using a soyo mobo, those are junk! If he is running a pirated version of XP, that may be the problem.
