[help]snowe Shell32.dll

I just replaced shell32.dll with the snowE shell.32, everything works fine (all icons were replaced) accept one little problem, the "My pictures" icon is still the yellow,

i tried iceman shell32.dll also and had the same problem,

can anyone help me with that, really appreciate it, thanks

you can use iconphile to change the my pictures folder icon.

i think it's also possible to edit the desktop.ini file in that folder.

hi guys,

Im new to that whole moding thing.

I dl the shell32.dll for snowE and everything worked nicely exept:

All basic folders are still yellow :( When I click on properties>custormize the icon shows the the snowE folder icon, any idea?

Now what ive noticed is when I go to change icon all icons showing there are snowE icons, when I change the folder to any of them it still shows me the old classic icon of same type, what did I do wrong?

Thanks

i assume all the icons, etc. are modded in the shell32.dll.

get tweakui and use the "repair icons" tweak to clear the icon cache.

all my icons were working nicely but then Ive noticed they are all back to old XP icons when i booted today. Ive tried to use Tweak UI but no help, I looked and they are all back to orginal, looks like the other icons got overwritten.

Any idea why? :banging:

Have you updated Windows?

Sometimes when you update windows, the shell32.dll will get updated too, and the old icons return. :(

I think it might be it... :canadian:

Try changing your desktop bit depth color from 32bit to 16bit and back to 32bit! This would do the trick ;)
