Very nice, zoot :)

I don't even use Samurize any more (too many problems in the past lol), but this looks pretty damn good (Y)

Have to admit i went off PowerMetal pretty quickly... but nice stuff all the same bro!

Cheers

Its great :bow: but I can't edit the config for some reason :blink:

#86769

Hi zoot, I've downloaded and tried... and apparently, is not alone. I can't edit the config as well. Opens up to nothing. Sort of just... an empty file?

But still great work though! Thanks again. :lol:

Yep...old thing. I am sure that Zoot has a larger resolution on his monitor than Keith and silencedge. For example Keith has 1600x1200 and you guys have 1024x768. So the config is out of bounds of your monitor. It's on right, I'm sure it's beyond. Zoot you have to place this baby on the left of your monitor, save and re-release.

Stupid Samurize <_<

#86831

Is that is, Pe7er?! If so... then that's rather amusing... :lol:

Anyway, but why can't we just scroll the window to find the ... ...(whatever you call it.), widget??

Thanks Pe7er though, hehe... now that's something new which I am not aware of about Samurize. And you're right! STUPID Samurize... but it does make my desktop look good though. :woot:

Go ge DesktopX and you'll find yourself in heaven ;)

This bug is rather popular, I'm pretty sure that's it.

[sHOUT] Zoot, come and fix this pleeeassseee!!! [/sHOUT] :woot:

#86840

just zoom to 50% and you will be able to select the config,

BTW it isnt stupid, samurize configs were NOT designed to be exported at first.

and if you have request feel free to stop by on the samurize forums.

#86858

oh another thing , samurize is free , desktop X isnt ;)

#86860

I'm a maniac. I can pay for beautiful fonts, kupo! images.jpg

#86863

Hey Alderaic, I've actually tried zooming out to 50% and am still getting a blank screen... any more ideas? :blink:

@Pe7er: You're right... DesktopX2 is definitely the way to go... (if your pocket allows, that is. :lol: ) So many widgets out there to make your desktop so... UN-XP, which is good! LOL.

Anyways, thanks for all the replies guys. :canadian:

look at the ini file first lines, you should see :

OffsetX=161

OffsetY=20

it is the left corner of the config, set it to 0 0 and it should be located to the top left corner of your primary screen.

it usually happens if you get the config from someone using multiple monitors or a very large res.

Pe7er > asking for a better font display on the samurize forums could help, BTW we are working on the problem. I dont say that samurize is best because its free, I say that we have other real lifes issues were the guys at stardock are doing this as a job, the more help and feedback we get the more we can do. anyway...

Thanks. I was just joking with DtopX, the only better thing in it are fonts. Everything else sucks. I love Samurize and hearing that you work on fonts is a very good message today.

And Samurize is the best. And it's free, what makes it even better. Can something that is already the best be better? It's the question like 'what is further to the north than the North Pole?' :D

Hi Alderaic, I see the source of the problem now. But changing just the offsets in the .ini files don't work. :( Then looking down the list, I see that there are positions commands that look something like this...

[Output 2]

...

Left=1755

Top=731

Right=1870

Bottom=846

...

Do you reckon that these have to be changed as well? :cry: Actually I did try changing one set to a smaller value and apparently, I am getting it into my screen. There's 12 sets of offsets for both the PNGs and the links each, so that makes 24 sets of editing I have to do, and all different positions definitely. :blink:

But thanks all the same Alderaic! :shy: At least I know why I can't apply the config so easily now. :D

I guess I shall wait for a re-release (if there is) of this awesome work by someone working with a smaller screen then. :banging:

Thanks again! ;)

I have fixed the confis so that those of us who run smaller resolutions will be able to edit them.

Also, I have included files for those that use the INI Configuration Wizard as well the other PNGs that were not originally included.

Just extract to your Samurize installation folder.

I hope zoot doesn't mind.

@applelover: Thanks for making this little change to the .ini file I need. It's within my screen now. Thanks! :lol:

Thanks everyone for all the help rendered. (Y)

#87033
