I'm wondering if anyone knows how to change the window backgrounds for "Program Files" and "My Computer." Desktop.ini will not open in these windows.
This is for adding a bitmap background, not just a solid color,
Thanks ![]()

read about windows explorer background images here: http://virtualplastic.net/html/wv_main.html
some apps are listed as well. hope that helps.
I rember a windowFX addon that would change the background to all folders for you, i dont rember what it was called tho.
I found a program that lets you set seperate backgrounds for different folders. It's called Windowpaper XP. It's a nice little app.
you can grab it at : http://www.sodabush.com
Thanks breathe, the program is just what I'm looking for. It's too bad I just found this out now, can you believe how long it has taken me MANUALLY editing each window?
:banging:
I just found it yesterday and it works like a charm. Glad I could help.

Could someone, kind enough, send me this please?
PM me if you can. Thank you in advance.
I tried getting the download from the page but it said something about the link not being up until new years of 2003, which was last year so I guess it'll never be up.
For those who ain't enough to donwload Windowspaper.here is an alternative link to get it from Webattack http://www.webattack.com/screenshots/windowpaper.htm

but thank to Breathe...
Thanks cuckoodu...it's great!!
It's good but it seems to only go one deep when you select "include subfolders",
basically, i selected "c:" and hit the "include subfolders" checkbox.
I was hoping it would do all under my "c:" drive.
Any Ideas???
