Mr. Clotz2000
I have a various mixture of icons. I am purely hosting the icons, I don't take any credit for them whatsoever. I have made several of the icons on my site, but not all of them. I just wanted to get a site together with all of the icons in one source. I give props to all who dedicate themselves to creating icons. I too also create many icons. I don't care if my icons are freely distributed to whoever, this is about giving the icons away for use on people's computers. I'm not selling them or anything of the sort. Also would like to give props to Twist, Marvilla, and everyone else who dedicates their time to make icons for all of us.
coltz, i love your site. and everyone thought you made all of those. you didn't say ANYthing about who made them. Unless you have it there somewhere and it's not obvious. It's quite a big letdown. Everyone would treat your're a thief. Good luck getting this settled.
Well abuot 85% of the icons I have have Apple made, so I give them some credit for the original images. I have made quite a few of them, but again not all of them. Actually it says this at the bottom of my webpage. I did actually convert each image into PNG & ICO files. I didn't like jaggedy images so I created most of them from the original files or made them myself. But it's just basically a site to get alot of the PNG's & ICO's in one place, that's he purpose of the site. Thanks for the compliments on everything. Major props to all that have enjoyed my site.
Umm I maybe wrong and out of order but does it not say at the bottom of the page that you take no credit for the icons on that site??
Or am I just getting senile in my old age?
clotz i think u did a good job. now we can download all the icons from one place. who are they to tell? are they the 'icon police' ? anyway i dont think they should be putting there nose into your business. if an author of a set or few of the icons that are in your pack emails you and tells you to remove them, then i say do that, since he personally did, but i wont listen to any tom, **** and harry saying the artists said u cant put them on other sites. ![]()
your site helps alot of new comers into the aqua soft world get a head start, which is a good thing, so we don have tousands of posts saying where can i get this.. that..

Number one, he came to our site posting links to his so called hard work of bundling everyone else’s icons. Number two you have no idea of what really happened. He has lied and to us about several things dealing with this situation. I'm glad you consider us a tom, **** or harry since we do have quite a few icon artists at our site, of which a few had their works included in these zips. No credit to the artists, no permissions, but by god if you distribute clotz's zip you had better give credit to him according to the readme. So basically let me just take everyone's work and have them tell me to remove it if they don't like it? That's a pretty distorted way to look at things. Glad to see an admin take this stance. You just don't get it, all it takes is an email to ask for permission but I guess that's more trouble for him than the artists took to make the icons for you to use. If you want to call us the icon police that's fine.
Well I agree with you both. I have made a great site for icons, I don't take any credit for the icons no matter if I made them or not. I don't care if someone takes my images that I have made, it will just help their desktop look better, I'm not out to get my name everywhere or anything. I'm just helping the aqua community get the things they need to customize their desktops, since that is what this site is all about. To this day I have Not received an email from any author requesting to have any icons removed, so until then, they will remain in the icon packs. Thanks for the compliments though, It did take awhile for me to make the site, but that's my little contribution to the aqua community.
