Hard Skinning With .ocx Files

I have a question!

If u open the comctl.ocx file with ResourceHacker ull find something intresting.

The dialog box part in reshacker showed me few new things. About boxes!!! About boxes for treeview, listview etc.

E.g.: Progress Bar ActiveX Control - Version 5.0

These dialog and about boxes where made for a reason, so there must be some kind of a program wich opens the ocx files.

It seemd to me that it is possible to modifie the : progressbar , listview, treeview, buttons, menus etc. Like in Windowsblinds and Objectbar, but it is the genuine win gui!!!!!!

Is there a program wich opens and modifies the .ocx files?

I mean those dialog boxes.

There are a lot of options to set.

If we modifie the comctl.ocx file, what will happen???

Can we totally modifie the classic windows gui, and after that the styled gui????

May be I am wrong, but it would be great if we can redesign the default windows controlls..........(buttons on the left?????????)...........................

I'm not a programmer but i think COMCTL.OCX is a kind of library to make programs with ActiveX Control.

Nothing for the windows gui cusomization!

There are two files bind together: mscomctl.dll and mscomctl.ocx

May be I ma wrong, but I think:

The mscomctl.ocx or the dll contains information on the default windows gui elements.

Like : tree view, list view, frames, animations, buttons, icons, menu panels etc.

So I think with the comctl.ocx and a proper program, we can modifie these settigs!!!!!!?????

SO WHAT PROGRAM CAN OPEN AN .OCX FILE, AND WHAT WAS THE PROGRAM THAT WAS MADE THE COMCTL.OCX?????

and a

comctl32.ocx

Still lookin for a program wich can use and modifie the resources stored in the .ocx files and their .dll brothers.
