What Do U Think About This Configuration?

My next Toy Box :D:

AMD XP 2500+ (or 2600+) Barthon core

Asus A7N8X Deluxe

512 (or 1gb) of Kingston DDR Dual 400

Asus RADEON 9600XT (should i go with SE?)

Old SB Live 5.1

US Robotics 56k external (yeah, i know it sucks)

Sony DRU 510A

Samsung 959NF (i don`t hv the cash for a nice TFT :( )

and my trusty, old Cambridge SoundWorks DT2000 5.1 speakers

I`m pretty proud of my (to be) comp that shuld keep me settled untill G5 PBs arrive some time next yr.

So after seeing all those "Who's got the bigger (pardon, better) machine" i`ve decided to present u my machine and to ask for advice. Is there anything i should change? Any tips? This machine is no competitor to Stevie`s Beast Box :D and should give me as much as possible for as little cash.

Thanks

PS The use will be Aqua make up :) and some (lttle) gaming + webdesign

It's better than my current box...

Save for the monitor, that is ;)

Save up for a good quality TFT. You'll be pleasantly surprised how good some of them are.

I won't be getting my God Box 'til next summer at the earliest, when I finish uni

nomis_nehc i don`t want this to turn into "Who`s got bigger"!

if u hv any constructive comments they`re welcome but other than that...

@ Stevie - yeah i guess i`d be very pleasantly supprised but i wouldn`t hv enough cash for a good 19" TFT :(

Should i go with Asus RADEON 9600XT OR 9600SE?

The SE versions of video cards usually have less features for the benefit of a lower price...

What core is your cpu? And fsb=133 is not the best choice. Set it to 166mhz and have fun (or maybe greater? depends on you ram), but im not really sure if you can do so on your mobo.

VidoeCard isnt good, but better, then mx440 ;)

Best thing in your box is your CASE. Nice mod!

In my opinion Samsung 959NF is the best choice for a monitor. I have 957MB and it's outstanding. Sharp, colours are great - it's just perfect. I recommend you to get that Samsung, forget about TFT. I'll change my 957MB in 10 years, when there will be OLED monitors available. Not sooner :D

I am not an overclocker -_- , but if changing the FSB to 166 is not overclocking then bring it on.

and how is this video card not good?

EDIT: BTW, Unbeliever your system is nice (Y)
