Beat This System

Ok guys, time to boast. Here's my system:

3.06 Intel Pentium 4 w/ Hyperthreading w/ 533mHz system bus

512 MB PC2700 DDR RAM

Dell-effing-who-knows mobo

ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 (i'm pissed about it...but its overclockable)

40 GB 4200 rpm HD

a fan

a disk drive

a cd burner (dvd burner? its great, but i never used it so why get one with my new comp?)

here's the pimp part:

1600x1200 NATIVE RESOLUTION uxga+ or whateva screen

so basically i pimped out an inspiron 5150 for college in august.

also...i'm happy with the normal windows interface. messing with mac crap (yeah i got it almost perfect) messed my computer up system file wise. i dont feel like adding stuff neways. savanna isnt up to par with IE (where's history and search if it's an IE hack?), falcon doesnt work right, objectdock shows up in games..etc. etc.)

OH Wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I take it you have not seen the specs for StevieBM's God Box, have you? look for it here on the boards...

#84658

Umm.. no offense but the only thing "special" about that comp is its processor...

And btw there is already a topic where to post your comp specs.

#84659

this is my notebook :D

AMILO D 1840 WideScreen

P4 2.6 HT with FSB 800, Ati Radeon 9600 witn 128 MByte, WXGA 1280x800, ...

#84667

Ok, since youre posting your notebooks here...

This is NOT the computer specs thread :banging:

#84668

I'm bored so I'll boast as well then

3.2Ghz P4 HT @ 800Mhz Bus

1024 TwinX Dual Channel DDR 400

Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB

360GB SATA RAID HDD

DVD+-RW/RAM

Audigy2

Shuttle 75G2 Case

mmm.... still bored.

#84670

Mine is BIGGER :6

*Another pointless thread*

#84672

Yup... just the Beat this system tag was a little lame considering the spec of the machine. :who's your daddy:

#84676

When I get my dualie 1.8GHz G5 with 1GB RAM, mine'll knock both of yours' down. ;):D

Edit: Er even though it's not a PC.

Edit edit: Nevermind me.. :canadian:

"If ifs and buts were candy and nuts..."

Need I say more?

#84686

Yes Stevie, yours will knock down most super computers.

Something that powerful will just rip a hole in the universe won't it?

Nah, just in the insular little universes of people who try to boast on A-S or TCPU ;)

#84690

Yeah, yeah, all your comps are nice, but none of them match my future machine:

:D

#84691

Tiny indeed Stevie, TINY...

Now someone please take this thread out of its pointless missery!

#84692

Powerbooks are nice, but you just can't beat a custom-built machine with a case based on (but also expanding on both physically and in terms of "functionality") a G5, and with hardware which would widdle all over that of the G5 ;)

This doesn't count as boasting - it's the straight-up facts. Oh, and by "beat", I mean in a strictly number crunching sense. Obviously a PowerBook would win in a "which machine is easiest to carry in one hand" competition

I'm talking about hardware only. Let's not turn this into an OSX versus XP/2K3/The World thread

#84693

I agree, Stevie. I don't own a PowerBook, nor do I plan to within the next year and a half. I built my desktop from scratch, and I can say that it was one of the most fullfilling things I've done. Alienware-type case (the old ones), AMD Athlon XP 2600+, 19" Samsung LCD monitor. I just love looking at it. Especially my aqua desktop :D

Nice...

Why don't you post your system specs on the thread that my God Box is in, as a "Hot Rod" recommendation? ;)

Stevie just hit on the true meaning of our universe;

We are but a side effect of God's computer.

@Kurt871; Only a 15"?

And that's a system that exists in real life, is it?

RIMMs in an AMD?

A GeForce 4FX?

That's very heavy sarcasm, very heavily modded, or very imaginary...

#84748

3.5ghz Overclocked AMD!?

Argh! Stop that please! AMD cant run on 3500! The limit is 3ghz with ANY, I repeat, ANY colling system! nforce wont allow to do so. 2 gb's of RIMM ram with AMD - that was good :D (Y) :D

Stop just imagine something! Or just give us for example link to your 3dmark score to see your real pc specs. That would be nice

PS: btw fx5800 sux

#84786

Dual AMD 64-bit Longhorn 12.6+ overclocked at 19.5HGz

ATI Radeon 19000 x32 GPU

6GB of DDR1600 PC 12800

265x128x265 CD-RW

32x DVD-R/RW

128TB Hard Drive at 960000 PRM

Yep, this is how pointless this thread is.
