Xp User Pictures

Ok so i came home from school taday and i got to use the computer, and i see a screenshot as my moms user pic when i go to log in. I asked her about it and she says she was trying to change the screensaver and she didnt know what she did. Shes not 'computer literate' egnouf to take a screenshot and turn it into a user picture, so i think its part of XP. Does anyone know anything about this, its very odd, and ive never seen anything like it. Id post pictures of it, but when i changed her icon back for her ( to the horses) it disapeared.

This is a cool option of XP and a wonderfull GUI enhancment that ive never know about and havent ben able to reproduce.

ur mom is a h4x0r

any .bmp can be used as a user icon. It sizes it accordingly. It can be 3200x1200, and Windows XP will still make it fit into that small space. Maybe she's a h4x0r. That's really the only thing my drunk ass can come up with. See if she installed cygwin and ./h4xed blah.kr

This is a feature of the Welcome screen. You can change the pictures easily in the User Accounts control panel applet.

The point isnt that it can be changed, the point is that somehow XP did a screenshot of the desktop for the image.

Maybe she accidentaly pressed the pint screen button on the keyboard. (for those that don't know it takes a screenshot and puts it on the clip board) Then somehow she might have accidentally pasted it when trying to change her user picture. Well thats my best guess anyway.......

Yeah, what nickman is saying is true, she might have accidentally taken a screenshot, then accidentally opened paint or soemthing and accidentally pasted it, then accidentally saved it and lastly she most probably went to user pane and accidentally (as you would expect) assigned it as the user picture....

If this coomment is ironic... its just an accident...:P

However, that would be pretty neat, i know i would use it!!

1. Set up a program to automatically take screenshot and save to a file every x seconds.

2. Set your picture to the file that is updated.

The End.

It makes sense.

You fast user switch, knowing what the desktop looks like (open apps, etc), by looking at the user picture, which is a screenie of the desktop the moment you logged off.

It makes sense, maybe your mom did hit upon something which XP has included, but that no one knows about.

lol you think THAT's weird?

Sometimes after I empty the recycle bin I wait a few seconds and it like goes in reverse and it fill up again.

With what you ask? Well when I go to Empty again it says "Do you want to delete Windows?" Funny thing. Like windows cant stand to suffer being Windows anymore and try to commit digital suicide.

It's happened to me on more than one system as well.

Might be the fact that I do 9 or 10 things at once lol.
