Explorer Shortcut Help

I am trying ObjectDock and I am having a problem with adding an Explorer shortcut to the dock. With YZ I just link to to the Explorer .asf file in the Windows directory. This does not work with OD. Whern I click the shortcut nothing happens. I know I can simply link to Explorer.exe, but I want Explorer to open at C: not at My Documents.

Can anyone tell me how to do this please.

C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE {/n},{/e},{options},{folder}

·/n, - Opens a new single pane Explorer window

·/e, ? Opens a 2 pane view of the selected folder

·options- lets you choose between /root and /select

·/root, ? Used with folder. Chooses the designated folder as the starting point(root)

of the folder tree. (Ordinarily, \DESKTOP is the root)

·/select, ? Highlights the designated folder and displays the contents of the parent

folder in the right pane.

·folder ? designates the folder path

Thanks for the info. I did find something similar to this through Google, but yours is much fuller.

The problem is, I'm not sure what I'm doing. When I try to add the switches in either the "link" or the "argument" boxes, I only ever get a message saying that "explorer.exe etc etc is not a recoginised path or a folder". I guess it's me not doing it right.

If anyone can talk me through this really slowly, I'd be very grateful.

basically you just make a shortcut with this on the target

Explorer.exe /e,/root,C:\ will open an "Explorer" view of the C: drive.

Explorer.exe /e,C:\ will open an "Tree" view of your computer with the focus on the C: drive.

Then just drag it into OD... it should work

hehe, no problem, glad to help... i must mention tough that this has been discussed before over here, somewhere, so you will save yourself some smartass responses from people who had not had their coffe and stuff (thats me too sometimes LOL) if you do a search trough the boards before posting a redundant thread...
