How Does The Real Osx Dock Handle Multimonitors

Can anyone tell me how the real Dock behaves on a Multimonitor System ?

I can't believe no one has replied to this post yet. I'm just as curious as you on your question. just goes to show how many of us are winkiddies who only have dreams of owning a MAC with dual 23" flat screens.

Hmm...

Don't know!

My guess is that it stays on the first monitor all the time. Why do you ask?

yeah it seems obvious...

they're not going to have a copy of the same dock on both screens...

and it would be weird to split an animation over two monitors - would make it impossible to click on some of the icons for a start.

From what I have seen on a demo machine (if I remember correctly) if you put it at the bottom it goes on the center of the main monitor. If you put it on either edge and a monitor is on the side of either of those edges it'll go to the edge of that monitor.

Like for example:

2 monitors, one main and an extra on the left:

bottom mode: center of main monitor

left: left of second monitor

right: right of main monitor.

Smoke is right, I have seen the same thing on a demo machine.

They had a big 23" Cinema and a 21" CRT side by side.

Only the Cinema had the dock.

:D The dock was on the Right side of the right screen and the top tool bar was on the let screen, not the right.

I was playin on a G5 duel screen at a music store

Okay, here's one.

If I have one monitor, my dock is on the left. I open PS, does the tool pallete (traditionally on the left) overlap the dock or does it not?
