Have you tried right clicking the desktop and select Arrange Icons By/Show DeskTop Icons? If you want to edit the spacing right click the desktop and select properties, click appearence tab, click the advanced button. Ok, ckick on the Item dropdown menu and look for Icon Spacing (Horizontal), set it to Size 20.

Go back to the Menu and look for Icon Spacing (verticle), set it to Size 20.

Click OK to close that dialog, then click Apply.

Now click on the Effects button. Put a check mark in the second from the top. Then select clear type in the dropdown box and then OK to close that dialog.

Click Apply and then click OK.

Hope this helps. :canadian:

PS: You will need to replace the default icons that aren't 72px. You have a lot to learn if you don't already know how to do that, but learning is fun and be patient.

Icon packager is a good way to replace default icons.

Also check your menus on ObjectBar to see if there is an option to hide desktop icons.

One more thing, don't use a gif or png for wallpaper. It makes the icons look like crap.

To hide tray icon: For Object bar, right click thr arrow by the sys tray. Select configure tray filtering.

For the windows task bar: right click the arrow by the tray and select Customize Notifacations.

The DVD apps conflict with Y'z apps AxtiveX components (I think), It's a bug you have to live with. Close all Yz apps before starting PowerDVD.
