Aqua-Soft Forumsif anyone is a frequent user here and has come in almost everyday he/she would know that none of these programs/skins/mods are accurate 1:1 exactly. in theory what they will do is make people see how kewl a mac is and download them. then later on they will see some aren't stable, some do nothing (alcal for example) and so then they will try to get that ui the 'real' way: buying a mac. it did that to me. i asked everyonei know for a mac for my bar-mitzvah. so as you see apple doesn't understand these apps fully and that's why we lost things like y'z dock (though i don't really like it too much. the build i have has no taskbar and i doubt any others do) if anyone knows someone who works at apple please email this to them as it may give us back precious things like aquacontrols and y'z dock.

True! I'm buying an iBook to, Ive Aqua'd my PC and I now want a Apple but the thing cost to much to swap for a iMac so Im gettin an iBook.
yea, i plan on getting an iBook also for college (sometime this winter season) running Max's Milk and Smoothstripes Plain themes. Apple doesn't understand that these mods PC users actually benefit Apple in a bizzare and twisted way.

expensive? i've seen an emac for 799 at apple.com and i've seen pc desktops for more than that. many of them i've seen are, actually. an imac is 1299 and i admit that's expensive but hey we all want our apples. since they released a new 'medium speed' g5 the 1.4 ghz one is 1599 (if i remember correctly) and that's not much more than the imac. all i need now is to find a used mac store... anyone have any ideas for one on long island? maybe compusa has used macs...
@juno; They already tried that remember? The Newton? I doubt they'll have another go anytime soon.
I can understand why Apple get's moody with people that try to emulate their stuff, maybe co-operation with the programmers to make them *almost* like their Apps but forcing them to keep it marginally inaccurate so people still have a thirst.

SG, I kind of find it odd that in your sig you have a guitar, but the text reads "SG Series", however, the guitar is not an SG. The SG is probably the best guitar ever made and used by Pete Townshend (guitarist of The Who) in Woodstock '69, and did the first recorded guitar smashing.
i used to live on long island, moved away about 1 1/2 years ago... when i was there, i was never aware of any specific store that carried used macs... and i don't think as a chain compusa is in the business of selling used computers. here might be someplace you can start though if you want to go the online route:
