Mobydock

Mbydock running fine and after shutting down i get error message that mobydock has encounterewd a problem and has to shut down. I can't get it to run again. obviosly i had it running before with fine results. I have win xp and direct x 9 and my graphics card is s3 prosavage ddr and i installed a recent up date driver from s3 site. any suggestions ? thanks. :moon:

Just check that your desktop is still set to 32-bit depth colour (under Display Properties)...

....this is a common cause of Moby problems!

hmm sometimes i have this error. .but its only if i accidently drop an object in mobydock that doesnt work.. and creates an empty spot in the dock.. then when you close the dock and try and run it again.. i guess mobydock gets confused on the empty spot .. cause in the items.ini file you can find it.. .. and at its spot theres no information in the needed fields.. so mobydoesnt work.. but once i removed that entry.. reset the number ordering.. it worked fine

but your problem may be different.. just try restarting your computer and see how that works.

thanks I have 32 bit set . Bolero where do I find this .ini file. I went to the folder but looked through all files and did not see ini files to correct. Where is this file located ? Thanks again

I have the same problem off and on. I run Mobydock in XP (home) and 2000 (work). Once in a while MD will encounter an error and shot down. If I try to reload it quickly, it will run so slow it acts frozen. If I wait for a few minutes, it seems to run OK. While I think this dock is now better than Y'z dock, it still has a few bugs. :lol: :lol: :lol:
