perfect thread and topic. i just forgot where did this "shi7 hit the fan" phrase come from.
Nothing like jumping on the band wagon. But I guess I can't blame them.

Well, I can. Microsoft and Napster,...
and Rhapsody,...
and MTV,...
and MusicMatch, everyone and their Moms.
Since Apple pissed me off, good news for MS :canadian:
Jesus, you Apple fanatics. Are they just beyond criticism for you? This music service idea is no great invention of Apple.
I am just sick of every company coming out with this idea that they think will bring in profit. There is so much the general public can take.
LOL, agreed Alilm...
I bet they sat on their executive chairs and went... we... are now going to sell music... WHOOOaaaaa (background voices)... online.... (clapping)
they must have really thought it through, a totally copyrightable idea
Hey timan, i liked getting cookies for clicking the ads, where the hell are they! give em back or ill stop the clicking (holds Timan at "clickpoint")
click click! hehe!
@goku: Well, The sh!t hits the fan when MS copies Apple. By now that is one sh*ty fan!
Microsoft ripping Apple once again...
I wonder if the will limit it to "mr. hankey"ty 128kbps files like apple...
those who hurry up to protect the soft giant, I wasnt 'critisizing' MS, but the fact that everytime apple pioneers brand new inventions OR taking a risk by diving into new markets, should be typical to other 'buisness oriented' companies to clone Apple's success.
again, the sh!t hit the fan I've heard already, but just imagining it when the shizzle hits the sucker when it almost breaks from the ceiling due to lightning spin, man, what a blitz mess.
im tired of this "ripping" idea.
MS isn't ripping anything, they are merely just "going along".
Are multiple companies making tvs ripping sombody's idea?? why not rant about that? or how about a chair? or anything for that matter.
what if nobody copied anything? there would be a monopoly and nobody would be able to afford anything. Plus, companies wouldn't be able to tell flaws in their product or have much competition so advances wouldn't be as often. By copying an idea, it gives the consumer, which are you people, the ability to choose among different options; meaning the prices won't be so high because the companies are trying to buy your business.
So i say again, if Apple was the only one with the Music Store, they could raise the prices per song to $2 or more. Now aren't you people glad there isn't just one Music store??
My 2 cents
ok, whoever made any sens of Gokus last paragraph, raise their hands!
/me looks around and sees confusion and people full of shint (i dont like mr hankey) on their faces

Why would they? They've had the music store going for quite a while before MS opened their's and they've had plenty of opportunity to raise the prices all they wanted to. They didn't, why?
Because that would drive customers away.
Sure, having competition around increases the need to keep the prices low, but I honestly don't think they would have raised the prices anyway.

I think what gokus trying to say is that it appears that almost everytime Apple takes a huge risk or invents somthing that captivates everyones mind, Someone will try to copy it.

LMOA!!!! Thats the f*cking funniest thing I've ever heard!! LMAO
rofl i dont care, i m still going to get my music for free! :6
So I guess you haven't heard about Microsoft's new MP3 player coming to a store near you.. heh j/k ![]()
However, seeing as MS already make a number of hardware items, it stands to reason that once they launch their music service they may well introduce an MP3/WMA player to go with it. :banging:
Let's be honest, the only reason Apple opened a music store was to sell iPugs. The MS player could be called the Window latch and do all sorts of really cool things, really badly. ![]()

Did you not read Alilm's post?
Who cares if everyone is doing something, it's what's known as "diversity." It makes it so you don't get stuck with ONE application, when there might be a better one out there. Give them a try and go with the one that floats your boat.
Not being overly impressed with itunes I've already uninstalled it so the Apple store isn't really much use to me. I don't use an ipug, so overall it's good that there are other stores open and the M$ one will be just an-other. I'm not bothered by it in the least. I mean, It's not as if M$ is a huge money making consumer machine like Walmart! Oh, wait... <_
