It is actually easy to use resource hacker. Follow the following steps in order to accomplish it.

Assuming you have downloaded and installed resource hacker;

)open windows explorer -> click on tools -> options -> view ->make sure "Do not show hidden files and folders" and "Hide protected operating system files" are unchecked.

)launch resource hacker

)go to file and then open

)navigate through C:\Windows\System32\dllcache and locate shell32.dll -> click on it and open it. you will then return to Resource Hacker.

)you will see on the left pane folders like AVI, REGINST, etc. click on the plus sign next to bitmap.

)scroll down until you find the folder number 240. click on the plus sign next to it and then click the file 1033. it will show you the bitmap on the right pane you are trying to change.

)right click on the file 1033 and select the third option down which is "save[bitmap: 240: 1033]...". here, you are trying to backup in case something goes south.

)after it's done, right click on the file 1033 again and this time, select "replace resource". a Window will popup and ask you where to find the new bitmap file. the new bitmap file will be the one you just downloaded. choose which of the two you want.

)repeat steps 6 7, and 8 for folder 241 and 242

)after that, you save it and name it shell32. dll. save it on the desktop and right click on it and select copy.

)now, ctrl-shift-esc, task manager will pop up. find the explorer.exe on the processes list and click on it and end task.

)now, go to file -> new task(run) -> browse

)navigate through C:\Windows\System32\dllcache and find shell32.dll. rename it to something like shell32.old

)right click anywhere and select paste.

)go back up one folder to C:\windows\system32. rename the file system32.dll like in step 13 and then right click anywhere and select paste.

)that;s it to it. restart your computer.

)good luck

sincerely,
