[release] Objectdock 1.0 Released

This is like the sixth thread, including the ones "OBJECTDOCK 1.0 RELEASE!!!!!11, oh wait it's RC."

#82416

Stardock has released ObjectDock 1.0 today. ObjectDock is a freeware program that combines program launching and task management into a single "dock" that does it with style.

ObjectDock allows for dock items to react in many different ways to mouse overs and supports "Docklets" which can add new functionality to the dock.

New in ObjectDock 1.0 over the previous beta:

1) Mormegil''s LaST images and default dock included

2) Added "Load ObjectDock on startup" option

3) Updated Docklet SDK (with new weather docklet source) available for download from Link

4) Docklet overlay updating now works properly under CustomEngine mode. (e.g. for clocks and cpu meters)

5) Further enhanced Weather docklet to allow for multiple image sets

6) Fixed up small glitch involving shutdown item image changing.

Wiz, i think this is no RC, i think this is indeed Version 1, it was posted the 24th

That's what I meant. Wasn't there a day that there were three threads posted about the OD 1.0 release but it was like a beta of 1.0, more like a OD 1.(-1).

Well that thread was started on november 11, this was posted on Stardck.com on the 24th...

#82424

That was the RC1 of 1.00. And then a couple of weeks later, there was another few thread that were started because it was released.

#82429

Its pretty decent, it actually feels pretty good to use it, but I still like yz :(

#82430

I still find it to be the best dock made right now. :D

#82438

Works for me...just deleted a file by dragging it out of a folder and onto the bin icon.

#82470

thanks for replying mate. Then, its something with my box then...(somehow when i drag something to the re.bin it 'dodges' the mouse).

thanks again.

try enabling dragging or disabling it. if that doesn't work just try centering your mouse over it more.

:6 sorry but y'z DOCK will always rule....even after DEATH :who's your daddy:

this defenetalya last resource dock ....

does anyone notice the new "resize by mouse ability". just point the cursor over an area of the dock wich is not an icon or seperator (try it on the left or right border). klick+move the mouse up or down will change the size of the dock.

i don't know if this worked in earlier versions but its great.

It's been there for as long as I've used it. Probably back to .75 or something like that.

This is just flame bait and is completely irrelavent to the discussion. There are a thousand Yz vs. Moby vs. Object Dock threads and that are all completely pointless. The only truth as to which is better is that each dock offers something different and that which dock is the "best" depends entirely upon what the user wants out of the application. Saying Yz is better than OD is like saying chocolate ice cream is better than vanilla ice cream. It is COMPLETELY pointless, so don't try to turn this thread into another stupid this vs. that thread.

#82714

It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO slow!!! memory hog!!!

any one with such problem :(

#82731

How in the hell did this happen the last time I left this thread, I was sure it was brought off into a wild tangent. Now it has found its way back on course?!? Seph, we need to do a better job my friend.

Anyways. why are people viewing a OD thread if they are MD/Y'z Nazi's? You are just asking for problems Hugo.

I guess I'll check this one out.

#82743

It is working very well for me, better than earlier beta releases. much smoootherjava script:emoticon(':D')

#82754

I's excellent. he startmenu docklet prompted me to try this dock. Very nice indeed.

Edit: ooh, this post has turned me into a floodmaster.

#82760

Still can't get the dropfiles to work :(

So that neat FTPDropbox Docklet is on hold, 'till I get dropfiles to work. Anyone?
