How The Heck To You Change Fonts

I looked up and down and through the properties windows and could not find a thing on fonts. Help me out here.

You need Skin Studio in order to edit fonts

McPinty, what font did you use for your ob theme, for file, edit, view, go, and window? What is the formatting, size, bold, etc.? Thanks.

jmitch, i think the jaggy looking fonts there are bitmaps and no matter how many fonts you have with the true type on, it is all depended on the quality of the bmp.

all of you can see that its basically a bmp if you right click for example "file/New Folder" and see its just a bmp.

the question is, who is willing to remake those bmp and the answer i leave to you all

You dont need skinstudio to edit fonts in themes. You just have to do a little manual editing, and know the name of the font you wish to use. All you have to do is go into the theme folder I'll use the theme I'm working on as an example.

go into %programfiles%\Object Desktop\ObjectBar\

Then go into the theme's folder you wish to edit. In this case I'll go into \Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar (Aqua)\

Go into the skins folder, then into the AquaBar folder.

Now you'll see AquaBar.obskin (looks like a lil notepad with a gear on it) so it's like an ini file, or config file. All you have to do is open it with notepad and scroll through the contents looking for font names, and change them at will to whatever fonts you wish to use, then save. Alot of configuration values are in that file, so you can edit mostly everything by hand (thats how I do it). Also you'll have to do the same to a file called menus.obskin, within the menus folder in the Aquabar directory.

Simple

Hope you can make some sense out of that, I'm not very good at explaining things, I just learn on my own, and do them
