IconPackager is a tough bull to handle. It doesn't always change 100% all icons. I had some trouble with this a while back. What you need to do is re-build our icon cache, and possibly remove a damaged cache you may have. Get microangelo On Display. Use that to remove your damaged cache, and then re-build it. Then go into IconPackager and load your icons. If any icons after that still aren't changed, right click the icon that hasn't changed and click appearance and select the icon of your choice.
same thing for me. I always have stupid musicmatch change my mp3 icons back to the default musicmatch icons, which are UGLY and I hate them. I don't quite know how to change this... :-/
Hey MDZ whatever your name is...
Do yourself a favor and read the above post! You just might find the answer to your problem!
I noticed and plan on trying it once I waltz upstairs to where my computer is, thank you very much! I was merely responding to the fact that I had the same problem, that is all
And its Mark
Here's what I feel is a solution to the problem.
I use IconPackager to change all my icons and only the CD drive icon stubbornly refuses to change...Rebuilding the Icon Cache does NOT work....However once I replace my sysfiles with Iceman's sysfiles, the CD icon CHANGES...
This leads me to believe that the CD icon is stored in a DLL although I don't know which one exactly..I'll go and look now
Hope that helps,
Siddharth
