shep ~ sheep ~ seph??
He uploaded the ini above. All you need to do is add the lines for the email. He has the code somewhere. In the ini that seph provided, he left out the line for the server, username, and password (I think there is a forth), just search for the first line and add the line that you don't have in.
but what if the ini doesnt show up at all on the screen?
i'm running at 1024x768.
sorry seph about miss spelling your name
Sebek
You downloaded Seph's ini and replaced the old g5.ini. Because mine didn't show up at all either until I got Seph's ini.
ok i must be dumber then i thought cause i dont see his g5.ini file anywhere. all i see is a weather script and it looks like an e-mail one.
so to be a punk but can you tell which page and post he has his ini on
thanks
Sebek
Ill reupload my ini, wait...
@Pe7er: anytime buddy
, glad i can help
@Lynchknoot, RASport is the port trough which a computer connects to the internet... in the edit config you have to use that (there are several but that specific port i posted was the one that worked for me) in both incommming and outgoing trandsfer meters... Wizard's instructions were as usual right ![]()
HA! The resolution most likely IS the issue!
HA!
Download my ini and give it a try. Now everything should be visible in ConfigEditor. Before running open it and take look at these:
[Source 7]
Type=TPerfmonCollector
Path=\\PRESTON\Procesor(_Total)\Czas procesora (%)
FromIndex=1
ToIndex=1
Factor=1
AllowConvert=0
You have to input your data in 'Path'. The easiest way to do that is via Config.
[Source 10]
Type=TMailCollector
Port=110
Interval=10
UserName=
Password=
Server=
Simple. Mailchecker - input your username, password and mail server address. You can do it here, in ini.

Download meter. Customize via config. 'ASUSTeK_Broadcom 440x 10_100
Integrated Controller' is the name of my network adapter.

Upload meter.
Some things are very hard to achieve beyond config. Run it and do everything to change your settings with it.
It SHOULD work.
thanks so much guys. i will be giving this a try later on today. i will let you know if i have gotten it to work by tonight.
thanks again
Sebek
ps i think this is the one topic that i have started that has done the most. i feel good about myself ![]()
well guys i got it to work. i uninstalled it and then and went into regedit and riped out anything that had to do with it. then installed 1.0.1 and went and edited the config a little and it ran like a dream.
thanks for all the help and i have even desided to try my had at making a nice config to pass around. so be on the look out for that.
thanks again guys
a greatful Sebek :bow: :bow:
Congrats on getting the config to work Sebek.
Side Note:
For all who make these wonderful configs, it might be nice to locate them near the top-left portion so that other who run a different(most likely smaller) resolution can edit them easily.

PING, yup, that is a good suggestion, now people will only need to set it to their location and untic the prespecified location on screena nd voila ;
Good Idea Applelover (Y)
My mistake :shy: It will never happen again! ![]()

Yes this is a huge problem in Samurize (allows an instance to run way off-screen). I have tried to address this in my Milk Widget, where the installation vbs detects your resolution before writing the relevant values to the windows registry before installing the widget so as to ensure that the config will always appear on-screen.
Brand new to this forum and am reading through all the prior posts. I am totally impressed (and amazed) by the help/assistance given to sebek to get Pe7er's G5 widget Samurize script to work on his computer.
What a fantastic forum guys
Respect
BTW Pe7er - what a fantastic samurize script - working (and got pride of place) on my desktop - Thanks ![]()
HAHAHAA
What a fanastic avatar! Thank you for giving place for my tiny G5 on your desktop. I must say that I am amazed too with this thread. I like this forum too :rule:
You better like it, this forum r0x5!! :banging:
Groucho Marx once said... I would never join a community that accepted me... hmmm ![]()
Since this thread is about help with the G5 i thought i would ask my question here.
Is it possible to run two weather scripts so i can have two different locations at the same time ?? Im guessing it would be a matter of copying the weather script and renaming it to something like weather two then loading it but im wanting to ask before i even try and do anything like that.
Would this be an easy task since the images and stuff would also be the same ones used but changing for each location ??
Does that even make sense lol and is it at all possible ??
Thanks for any help.

In my opinion - it's possible. Give it a try, you won't kill your machine!
There was a time when I wanted to do it. I thought about it and it seems to be logically possible. Why didn't I do it? Keyword - LAZY ![]()
Hey ther Pe7er i did what i thought would get it working.
I copied the DesktopWeatherXML and renamed it DesktopWeatherXML2.
I opend that and changed the location as well as the directories for the images because i made a new dir the same as the one already there but renamed it with a 2 at the end.
I also changed the script so it would create the two xml files for it and added a 2 at the end of them also but for some reason the script doesnt load. I copied the weather that was already there so it was a duplicate in the config and changed the file to the new vbs file but it still doesnt load so can u check this vbs file for me ??
Well...I don't know really. I'm not much into VBS scripting. This file looks OK to me, but you should ask Tadis, Judge or Dreamz.
Hey Pe7er thanks for the help. I actually went over to the samurize web site and found a weather script that used two different files and implimented it into your G5. I just posted my desktop in the screenshots thread so u can see it there or if u want u can view it by clicking the image below:
