Any Chance For A Linux Port?
Before Aqua-Soft went down there was a thread about this. The answer is no.
Hello Darkmage,
What app are you refering to? If you are refering to iTalk, I gave it a try, but 1, I haven't done any programming in 6 years and 2 GTK doesn't allow the visual freedom neccesary to implemente this without having to write your own widgets, which is posible, but I do not have the time or expertise to do. The underlin protocol code is easy to implemente, the GUI part is the diffcult one.
If someone has experience programming in GTK2 I would be more that happy to team up and make this port a posibility.
I believe that you would need the source code for a port. jef is protective of his source as many program writers are.
I was not talking about a port, but a linux version writen from scratch of IChat/iTalk
Oh, this topic is about a Linux port so i just assumed...
