Hey, i've downloaded this Vital Desktop program to try to emulate this constant wallpaper changer and i can't get anything to work? I've searched the forum for answers, maybe haven't searched hard enough, how can i get this to work, do i need active desktop active or what? Any help would be appreciated, thanks ![]()
Vital Desktop
Some screenshots, links and a bit more detail about the problem would be nice...
Computer Stats:
Sony Vaio 3.0 Ghz,
Nvidia GeForce 4 5900,
2 GB DDR Ram,
200 gb harddrive
Basically the problem (without screenshots) is that nothing happens. No black screen or anything loading at all, it just says, "problem loading screen saver" and i read that you can use the nostalgic screen saver with this program. Nothing happens, it just kinda gives me the busy arrow cursor and then nothing happens. I heard maybe i should enable active desktop, but i don't know how. I can see the preview of the screensaver in the window which they said needed to be seen for it to work. So any help would be great..
you should have no problem running vital
so its probably something wrong with actice desktop
try this: right click on your desktop
properties
desktop
customize desktop
make sure active desktop is activtated
it seems not to be available in windows xp home, cause if i follow the steps from the above post, its just general and web...clickin on web it asks me to post a web page on there, no active desktop options, is it a professional thing?
people say that mac changes backrounds? could someone tell me how to actaully enable this? im runnign a 700 g3 ibook.. with panther.. thanks
Ed3SJ - System Preferences/Desktop & Screensavers/Desktop button
at the bottom check the "change picture" radio button, select which options you want it to do.
