Since you want to learn, the GUI setup tools aren't good, and even the worst install a ****ie can do with some help.
Ask Bolero. He's no guru, but was able to set up ArchLinux successfully.
Also, RaginAsian was able to sucessfully install and setup Slackware without ever using linux before.
Yeah contras right, i got sick of GUI this and GUI that with mandrake linux, and i trust whats best in linux from contra so i downloaded Arch.. and i installed it... of course i had to ask for help but i did it, wasnt hard at all, and iv learned so much more in the months iv used arch... its taught me more with its text install and stuff then any gui can teach.... im on my way up to be a guru tho lol itll take a while but im not leaving linux.
oh btw contra, my Swap partition was actually working its just for some reason it was posted double in my fstab so linux ws trying to activate it twice but it was already activated so thats the error i was seeing.. i have no idea how that got there but i fixed it.
