[decisions] Ati Vs Nvidia

So everybody i need alittle clarification on whether to get a

ati radeon 9000 or

geforce mx 400 or

geforce fx 5200 or

geforce ti 4200 or

geforce nforce or

Others?

* Which one is the best priced (under $105)

* Which one has 128mb

* Has the best performance (can it play Tron, Halo, Max Payne 2, Unreal 2003?)

* Has features like tv out and other stuff

Must be convincing, this is the first time i have buyed online so i need to get a good deal on a great game playing video card! Feedback appriciated! (Y)

a vid card under $100 wouldnt be very good for playing those games (like HL2 )

and

ati radeon 9000 or  geforce mx 400 or  geforce fx 5200 or  geforce ti 4200 or  geforce nforce or

a radeon 9000 (pretty old) doesnt compare wiht the new nvidia's listed (fx)

i think the fx and ti have 128mb

Oh i do have a question about a possible scam. on ebay there are people selling great computers for $80 to $100 with all of these great new components like ati 9800 vid cards and amd athlon 64

look like a scam?

Hmm, HL2, how long is that delayed. Oh yeah, until at leate March 2004!!! It's nothing to get hyped aboout yet.

Anyway, I would go with ATI, in somecases they have preformed better than nVidia wihch ATI is much less.

I always thought that the fx was a stripped down version of G-Force 4

did you do any research?

the mx400 doest have ddr and only goes up to 64 megs of ram

the nforce is a northbridge chipset and has nothing to do with graphics or gforce for the most part

As for the other cards they should all pay the games youve listed. I would go with the FX5200. It will kill the ati9000, and be a little slower then the ti4200, but has DX9 'support'.

BUt within that price range you can get a fx5600 or ati 9600, both are about equl in preformance, so its up to you, and you would be happy with either.

The only place i buy hardware is newegg.com Mad props to thoes people, they do an amazing job.

this thing is gonna go as sour as AMD -vs- INTEL.

Get a NVIDIA Quadro fX 3000! I'm not sure about DX9 support. I'm sure it has it. (HEH). And they're only about $1800
