Sorry its not clear. Instead of explorer.exe I have xplorer2.exe running. I know the original explorer was replaced for some skinning purposes, but I cant remember what specifically it was for. It works fine, it just sucks up memory from time to time. So my question basically is, is what skin, or theme, etc is using the xplorer2.exe?
Maybe its not part of explorer.
Goto start - Run - type in 'msconfig' without the quotes.
Click on the startup tab, and if xplorer2.exe is in there, and has a check mark in the box, then, its not neccissarry by windows, and you should uncheck the box.

Nope, it is definetly a replacement for explorer.exe, If I kill it and try to run explorer.exe all I get is windows explorer, no taskbars, no icons nada. I just cant for the life of me remember why I replaced the explroer.exe with this, I'm sure someone must know what this was for. Please all its killing me, actually if anyone can tell me the best way to replace my original explrer.exe i would be grateful. Apperently when the file was hacked there was no backup in sys32 foler or dll cache, so I guess replace from CD is the best way to to do it, But how?
