mmmm..feel the goodness.
So, not that I cant work Google or anything, but besides http://mes.emuunlim.com, what is the best resource for old Mac OS 8 and 9 apps and such? It's been a while since I've had this much to get, and I lost alot recently from a hard drive crashing.
i don't know about any resources, but i just want to say congrats on the acquisitions. i hope you enjoy your new machines. (Y)
Do a Google for 'Jag's House'. He has a bunch of great Classic apps. Most of them may be for Systems 6 & 7, but I'm sure a lot of them will be perfect for your new Macs.

There should be some OS 8 & 9 resources at Resexcellence.
There are also lots of OS 6 and up games, apps, utils & system software at ZDNet downloads.
Here is a link to over 700 OS 7, 8 & 9 downloads using the ZDnet search.
Well, I could use some other resources.
It seems all the old links I have are no longer valid.
I'm looking for things like the Aqua Icons, Aqua Themes, and sound and everything for Mac OS 9.
ResEx would probably have alot of what i need, but not all of it.
Anyone remember some of the great links of the past?

edit: You can also visit Aqua MakeOver to download icons, desktops, fonts & programs to help aquafy your macs. 
And while Resexcellence is down, zoom over to this old but cool site to download the software plus other gui-stuff you may need.

You can also make have os9 with smoothstripes go to http://www.maxthemes.com and go to themes then to smoothstripes and look at the very bottom you'll see it . As for a dock for os9 go to http://jerome.foucher.free.fr/ADock.html and install

Yeah, I have A-Dock. Still looking thru the themes for it tho. I always hated that the themes made the icons look like buttons
If you get a copy of OS X 10.0, I think you could install it on the powermac. I am right?? :banging: :banging:

Minimum requirements for OSX are 300mhz and 128 ram.
Optimal requirements are 400mhz and 256 ram
so no, I wont be installing OS X.

yes, but even in the old days we didnt have iTunes, an updated Quicktime or that Finder.
Hell, I remember the days Pre-ADock
Did you pay close attention to the buttons? Max Rudberg actually made an iFix for iTunes 2.0 and Quicktime for OS 9
