New Theme Release :: Glossy P

This is an intermediate theme between the Glossy theme I released last

month and the screenshots I put up of two works-in-progress. The goal

was to clean up the code, figure out how the pixmap theme engine works,

fix bugs people have reported, and redo some of the graphics. Here are

some screenshots:

There are a few caveats. I've fixed some bugs (location bar in Mozilla Firebird) but not

others (tabs in Gnumeric). And there is one notable bug (at least to me) which I hope

to fix soon: when a GtkEntry widget appears in a notebook page it stands out because

the GtkEntry base color is light gray and the notebook page is a darker gray. So, no

need to alert me to that bug because I'm already working on it.

Edit - Seems you already found this reported on another message board. I'll keep it in case someone else sees the bug though, so they know it's already known.

Bug report: A maximized window still shows the maximize button as green when the window doesn't have focus. The most common places this is noticable is when changing virtual desktops (for just a split second) or when using a menu from a panel.

Absolutely gorgeous theme though. I like this more than the 'real' Mac themes.

Suggestion on the documentation, and I apologize if this is covered elsewhere in the gtkrc, but I'm just kinda jumping around changing things in the order that I want them to be changed in (i.e. did buttongs first and will probably do menus last). When you have a section like:

  #Use this image when the tabs are at the top of the notebook.

  {
 	 function = BOX_GAP
 	 gap_side = TOP
 	 file = "tabpane.png"
 	 border = {2,2,3,3}
 	 stretch = TRUE
  }

I think it would be useful in the section, or maybe at the top of the file, or just somewhere, for there to be an explaination of what order the border numbers are in. I.E. Top, Right, Bottom, Left, or whatever the correct order is. I'm still playing around with it to figure it out.

Great stuff though. I'm getting a theme done fairly quickly, and really easily. Hopefully honz will authorize a release if he hasn't already given some kind of universal 'just be sure to give credit' type of permission.

Just noticed you have a stock paste icon, but it's not in use. In the unlikely event that it's just a matter of not knowing the proper stuff to put into the iconrc, here ya go:

  stock["gtk-paste"] ={{ "stock_paste.png", *, *, *}}

Edit: I found a whole list of stock icons straight from the source. So if you're interested in doing other bits like find and replace, it's all there.

Edit 2: This makes it even more daunting to fill in all the icons, but here is the list of GNOME stock icons, as opposed to just the GTK stock icons. >.<

Thanks for the icon info. If you noticed, I think I included the gimp file for the stock icons with the theme, so that any enterprising young artist out there could fill in some of those stock icons (hint, hint)...
