Object Dock .95 Rc1 Bug(or Issues) List

A couple of Problems here. :staffs here:

1. Rollback Prevention?

What's up with not being able to install an older version of the application once RC1 has ben installed. I uninstaled RC1(custom uninstall selecting every item possible to uninstall) and tried to go back to the original .95 release and what did see - A popup box from hell telling me to use the latest version. If RC1 causes problems on my box, I'm stuck with not being able to use objectdock at all. Please remove whatever hidden file that's preventing older versions from being used.

2. Speed Problems.

I love objectdock, but since the oringinal .95 release the application has just become unusable because of speed problems. Nothing seems to help ths problem of my P4 2.53GHz box with 512 MB of RAM. I've monkied with the setting file (ActivationAnimation=5 amongst other items) and it just doesn't perform like the .95 release. I love all the new features, but if it takes an icon more than a second to redraw itself, there is no way that I'm going to use it.

Hey, if there is nothing that can be done about the speed of the app, at least let me install a previous version that I like. <_<

I've never tried using an older version. As i don't see any point in it.

But are you deleting the directory manually? Sometimes uninstall' still leave a few files left over.

And if nothing else, OD may connect to SD's server and ask what the latest version is. It may not be something specifically added in the RC1 release, but something that has been there all along. *shrug*

RC1 works great for me, and you're the first person I've ever seen complain about it.

It seems fine over here.

My only complaint about it is that it still seems to concentrate on cosmetics over functionality.

But then again, I only use it on one PC that does not have a newer GFX card that would be supported by DX9 and MobyDock. So on that PC it's either ObjectDock or not dock at all until I get another GFX card for it.

Well, I uninstalled the app and manually deleted every directory and Registry Key that I could find related to objectdock. I then istalled the old version that worked well on my PC and when I try to launch the application, a popup box appears stating that the beta copy that I'm trying to run has expired. This has never happened in any of the previous releases, so it has to be specific to RC1. <_

A HA!

It says it expired? That's completely diferent from your original post. From what I understood, the error was telling you to specifically use RC1.

It's all beta software. Stardock has always done that with their beta's. It's got a built in time in which it's set to expire. To force people to use the latest beta. If i remember correctly, one of their builds expired before they had another build ready for release, so they had to update it. (Maybe i smoke crack though).

I bet if you set your system date & time back a month or two, it works just fine.

Not really a bug or an issue, just something that has yet to be fixed.

i'd like to see is done with the way the labels are done. right now they aren't antialiased and look crappy.

Edit: Found a bug. Every time I try to drag the clock docklet off the dock ObjectDock crashes..
